Overview
This relaxing 4 day break, follows the route of our Walking Breaks Tour WB-C3, but divides the Southwold to Aldeburgh stretch over 2 days. The result is a leisurely stroll with ample time to explore the delights of the unspoilt Suffolk coast and to sip on a seafront latte or well deserved pint, or browse the treasure-laden streets of the elegant coastal towns, Southwold and Aldeburgh.
Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive & explore
Arrive at your hotel in Southwold (by car or train and taxi) in time for lunch and spend the afternoon exploring the rows of pantiled cottages and broad greens of the town. Alternatively, take a circular walk exploring the coast and countryside around Southwold, passing marshes, creeks and a handily placed harbourside pub on your return.

Day 3 From ferns to fishing boats

Today, you can explore the charm of Aldeburgh and take an optional walk to Snape Maltings, home of the Aldeburgh Festival on the banks of the river Alde. A taxi will return you to Southwold (or Saxmundham Railway Station).
